CHARITY WALK

Please permit me to inform you of the works of the Global Foundation for Hope, Care & Development AKA GFHCD, the charity organization I have been part of for the past 6 years.

We are a fully registered NGO within the Nigerian regulatory space.
Our focus is on health, education, nutrition interventions and support for indigent children from birth to 15 years.
We have 2 interventions every quarter and a major project each year.
We have paid for surgeries, treatments and outstanding hospital bills so poor mothers can be released home after birth.
We have donated equipment to neo-natal units in several hospitals.
We have held children's day parties for kids at several orphanages each May 27th.
We have provided boreholes, toilets, school bags and desks, text and exercise books, generators and musical/PA equipment to orphanages or NGO driven schools in rural communities.

Our activities are funded by levies on ourselves and donations from friends and family.
Our project for the current year is to support an NGO run school that provides free education for the children of some rural, unserved communities in the FCT. We have already donated school desks, books and playground equipment.
We are committed to providing a 6 classroom block and completing the half-built accommodation for the Nuns who run the school who have to drive over 40kms each way daily on muddy rural roads to teach the children.

WHO WE ARE

Global Foundation for Hope Care and Development is a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to caring for and giving hope to the vulnerable Nigerian child. The idea for this NGO was birthed by a group of friends that saw the need to pool resources together in a bid to better the lot of the neglected child whose future is threatened by the gross spate of poverty in the country.

The vulnerable Nigerian child stands the risk of malnutrition, diseases, abject poverty, child abuse, illiteracy, mental disorders and early death. We aim to prevent this by ensuring the vulnerable Nigerian child is able to have a wholesome life and a bright future by getting access to amenities such as food, potable water, healthcare, education, and social activities.

Our PROGRAMMES

SAVE A CHILD

Unfortunately, a lot of children have been lost simply because they were unable to afford the cost of treatment. With this initiative we actively seek out children facing this predicament and cover their expenses for the treatment.

FEED A CHILD

Malnutrition in children due too poor diet accounts for the increased risk of children being exposed to various illness which are usually life threatening. We believe every child has the right to a balanced diet. This program actively identifies children in dire need of sustenance and provides food for them.

INTERVENTION PROJECTS

We believe that ideas can change the world, so we are constantly exploring new opportunities and concepts, while taking disciplined risks which sustain our interventions for and with the children and young adults in Nigeria.
